Has anyone else heard of this legend...?

As a kid my mother used to tell me a story about an evil undead "Conductor" or "Engineer" (Much like that one episode of Hey Arnold) Who, if children did things "bad" would crash his train into their rooms one night and make them ride forever. Has anyone else actually heard this legend?
