What to do with the facility key in resident evil 0?

Hey i have had resident 0 for a long time now, and i got really far (in my opinion) but i got the facility key and i don't know what to do! If I am some what correct the facility door is in the basement were the train crashed. Only problem is with that door fire if blocking it what do i do please help me!
